Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or purchasing a course on eMorto Academy, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

One account per person. Sharing account credentials or purchased content with others is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination without refund.

3. Purchases & Access

Course purchases grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the course content for personal use. Courses are not resaleable.

We reserve the right to update course content at any time. We do not guarantee that content will remain available indefinitely, but will provide reasonable notice before removing purchased content.

4. Subscriptions

Free Subscription (Newsletter)

Subscribers to our newsletter receive access to a defined set of free content. This access is granted for as long as you remain subscribed and we continue to offer the free tier. We reserve the right to change or withdraw free content at any time with reasonable notice. Unsubscribing from the newsletter will terminate your free subscription access.

Paid Subscription

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) via Paddle. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • No partial refunds: We do not refund the unused portion of a billing period after cancellation.
  • Cooling-off period: By activating a paid subscription and accessing content immediately, you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal for the first charge under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.
  • Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

5. Payments & Refund Policy

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Your payment and billing details are handled by Paddle under their own privacy policy.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds. By completing a purchase you explicitly acknowledge that:

  • Access to the digital course content is granted immediately upon payment.
  • You waive your right of withdrawal under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU as permitted for digital content delivered with your prior consent.

If a technical fault on our part prevents you from accessing content you have purchased, contact us and we will resolve the issue or, at our discretion, issue a credit.

6. Intellectual Property

All course videos, materials, logos, and content are owned by Morto BJJ Academy or the respective instructors and are protected by copyright. You may not download, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the platform.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to circumvent platform security or access content you have not purchased.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or download content.
  • Upload or transmit malware or harmful code.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a physical activity. Always consult a qualified instructor and physician before attempting techniques shown in course videos. Morto BJJ Academy is not liable for injury resulting from the application of techniques.

The platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Heraklion, Crete.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the platform after the updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.
